SPECK Pumps at ‘100 Bahnen von Hersbruck’

On Saturday 19 July 2025, Hersbruck’s outdoor swimming pool once again became a stage for sporting commitment and solidarity in action: the ‘100 Lanes from Hersbruck’ charity swim raised an impressive 10,400 euros – more than the event’s actual budget!

Organised by DAV Triathlon Hersbruck, the event took place under the motto ‘Swim with us – help with us’. The first 100 lengths were traditionally swum in memory of the late triathlete Matthias ‘Matze’ Hofmann, who originally launched the event as a personal training session. From the 101st length onwards, every kilometre swum raised twenty euros for a good cause. The total distance covered by all swimmers was added together.

achievements for Lichtschein e.V. in Schnaittach

This year, the proceeds went to the charity Lichtschein e.V., which provides bereavement support for families. The charity offers bereavement support for families, siblings, relatives, parents of stillborn children, schools, midwives and
many others. SPECK Pumpen, together with the other sponsors and the organiser of the swimming event, is delighted with the fundraising success of the “100 Lanes of Hersbruck”, which raised 10,400 euros.

This year saw more swimmers take part than ever before – a powerful symbol of solidarity and compassion. Whether young or old, whether 100 metres or 100 lengths – every participation counted. As a thank you, all swimmers received a ‘100 Lanes of Hersbruck’ swimming cap, and the youngest and oldest participants, as well as the team with the most participants, were given special recognition.

An event with heart and tradition

The ‘100 Lanes’ swim has long been more than just a sporting event – it is a community initiative with heart. And we at SPECK Pumps are proud to be part of it.
