FAQ
Frequently asked questions from operators
SPECK in operation: a reliable supply, compliant with standards, and maintainable according to a schedule.
How do I ensure the safe supply of drinking water?
With drinking water isolation stations compliant with DIN EN 1717, you can isolate your network in accordance with the standard and meet hygiene requirements whilst the system is in operation.
Who carries out maintenance and repairs on my system?
Please contact your specialist contractor. Our service team is also on hand to assist you with repairs. You can use the service partner search on our website to find a contact for SPECK building services products in your area.
What counts as a wear part – and what is excluded from the warranty?
Wear parts are all sealing and rotating components – mechanical seals, O-rings, flat gaskets, impellers and ball bearings. They are generally excluded from the warranty.
The pump is leaking a few drops of water – is that a problem?
A few drops, particularly during the running-in period, are normal. A continuous leak indicates a faulty mechanical seal and should be checked.
How can I reduce the pumps’ energy consumption?
A pump that is designed and controlled to meet your specific requirements delivers only the power your application needs. Speed control can reduce energy consumption, particularly where water demand fluctuates. The most suitable solution depends on your system and its operating conditions.
What should you do in the event of a fault?
Please report the service request via our online form and describe the fault as accurately as possible. It is helpful to provide the model number, details from the type plate, any error messages displayed, and information on when the problem occurs.
