Continuous water analysis in public swimming pools results in a constant flow of measured water. If this water is suitable for recirculation, it can be returned to the water circuit after measurement. This helps to reduce water loss and allows existing resources to be reused.
With the MRA 6 measurement water recirculation system, SPECK offers a ready-to-connect solution comprising a collection tank, pump and level control. The water produced is collected and automatically pumped on depending on the fill level. The 100-litre tank helps to reduce the frequency of switching operations. This makes the return of measurement water an integral part of your system’s operation – with components designed to work together seamlessly and a clearly structured design.
Benefits of SPECK
Recycle water. Reduce wastage. Pump automatically.
Make good use of the water used in measurements.
With a customised recirculation system, you can combine a mindful approach to water use with automated processes in the plant room.
Application
Measuring water recirculation in indoor and outdoor swimming pools – Leisure and water parks – Hotel and wellness facilities – Swimming pools and teaching pools – Retrofitting of existing measuring water systems
Technical Specifications
The tank capacity, flow rate and connections are tailored to the volume of measurement water produced and the designated return point.
Design and specifications of the MRA 6
The MRA 6 combines a polyethylene collection tank with the associated conveyor system. The equipment includes:
- A 100-litre container
- Lid with integrated vent
- Pump with float switch
- Non-return valve
- 3-metre connection cable with plug
This provides the essential components for collecting and conveying the sample water as a coordinated unit. Other configurations are available on request.
Level-dependent pumping
When the water reaches the switch-on level, the float switch starts the pump. Once the water has been pumped out to the switch-off level, the pump stops automatically. The non-return valve prevents backflow from the pressure pipe.
The switching volume of the MRA 6 is adjustable and has a maximum of 80 litres.
Performance and connection specifications
For the MRA 6, the operating instructions dated September 2025 specify the following values:
| Characteristic | MRA 6 |
|---|---|
| Maximum flow rate | 8.2 m³/h |
| Maximum head | 8.8 m |
| Power consumption P₁ | 0.39 kW |
| Power output P₂ | 0.20 kW |
| Mains connection | 1~ 230 V, 50 Hz |
| Pressure connection | G 1½ |
| Maximum water temperature | 60 °C |
| Motor protection rating | IP55 |
The maximum flow rate and maximum head cannot be achieved simultaneously; the operating point on the performance curve is decisive.
Integration into the plant
The tank inlet is to be arranged and dimensioned on site. Its position must allow the float switch to move freely. Sufficient space must be provided for maintenance and cleaning.
During the planning stage, measurement methods, water quality and the return point are considered together. This makes it possible to determine which measured water is suitable for recirculation and how the system is to be integrated into the existing water circuit.
