Whatever the filter system removes from the pool water is initially collected in the filter bed. As the level of contamination increases, the resistance rises and the circulation rate may decrease. During backwashing, water flows through the filter in the opposite direction, dislodging trapped contaminants and carrying them away via the waste water pipe. This ensures the filter remains effective for its daily task.
SPECK, through its BADU range, offers manual and automatic backwash valves for domestic pool filter systems. Whether it’s simple operation via a hand lever or automatically controlled backwash cycles, the right solution makes regular filter maintenance easier. Automatic models handle the backwash, followed by a rinse cycle, and the return to normal filter operation. For reliable operation and greater convenience in everyday pool maintenance.
Benefits of SPECK
Clean the filter. Maintain performance. Make maintenance easier.
The correct direction for a clean filter.
BADU backwash valves control the flow of water through your filter system – either manually for a clear overview or conveniently via an automated system.
Effective filter cleaning
Reverse backwashing dislodges trapped dirt particles from the filter bed and carries them out of the system.
Fewer steps
Automatic backwash valves control the sequence of the backwash stages and then switch back to filter mode.
Scheduled filter maintenance
Time- or interval-controlled programmes enable regular backwash cycles. With an optional pressure switch, the cleaning process can also be triggered based on pressure.
Suitable connections
A range of valve sizes, as well as threaded and adhesive connections, make it easier to integrate the valves into new and existing filter systems
Application
Backwashing of domestic filter systems – Automation of regular backwashing cycles – Modernisation of existing backwashing technology
