Whether you want to swim at a leisurely pace, build up your stamina or add some variety to your daily pool routine, a counter-current system opens up new possibilities in your own pool. It creates a current against which you can swim on the spot. To ensure an enjoyable swimming experience, the current strength, the pool and your personal requirements must all be well matched.
With BADU JET, SPECK offers suitable solutions for a range of requirements – from classic jet systems to high-performance systems featuring propeller technology. Built-in systems can be integrated into the pool design, whilst suspended systems can be added to existing pools. Depending on the model, you can adjust the current to suit your needs and make use of additional features such as air injection or lighting. This transforms your pool into a place for training, relaxation and shared swimming fun.

Nozzle systems – design and flow
Traditional BADU JET systems generate the counter-current using a pump that draws in water and returns it to the pool through one or more jets.
- BADU JET Wave: A built-in system featuring an adjustable nozzle with a diameter of 40 mm and a swivel range of 60° in all directions.
- BADU JET Wave flow rate: Depending on the model, 54 m³/h with single-phase current or 58 m³/h with three-phase current.
- BADU JET Primavera: Built-in system with two adjustable jets, also swivelling 60° in all directions.
- The alignment of the nozzles allows the water jet to be adjusted to the desired swimming position.
Propeller systems – power and propulsion
The BADU JET Turbo series uses propeller technology to generate a powerful counter-current for a range of swimming and training requirements.
The range comprises four models:
- BADU JET Turbo
- BADU JET Turbo Light
- BADU JET Turbo Pro
- BADU JET Turbo Pro Light
All models are supplied as standard in a saltwater version and can also be used in swimming pools with conventional chlorine disinfection.
Controls and operation
- BADU JET Turbo Light: Continuously adjustable power with three savable settings.
- BADU JET Turbo and Turbo Pro: Seven power settings; illuminated coloured buttons indicate the selected setting.
- Operating the Turbo series: Switching on and off, and power control via integrated reed switches or remote control.
- BADU JET Wave: Pneumatic on/off switch, adjustable air mixture and LED lighting; the functions can be operated from the pool.
Installation and retrofitting
- Built-in systems: The built-in housing is integrated into the pool wall. In traditional jet systems, suction and pressure pipes connect the pump to the built-in unit.
- Suspended systems: Models such as the BADU JET Riva allow existing pools to be retrofitted. The system draws water in at the rear and returns it to the pool via an adjustable nozzle.
- Installation planning: Space requirements, accessibility, as well as ventilation, air intake and drainage of the plant shaft must be taken into account in accordance with the chosen system.
Materials and panels
Depending on the series, plastic housings and plastic or stainless steel bezels are used.
In the BADU JET Turbo series, the saltwater-compatible version is included as standard. The standard cover is suitable for both saltwater and chlorinated pools.
A stainless steel trim panel is available as an option for a customised look. This is suitable exclusively for chlorinated pools. In saltwater pools, the standard saltwater-compatible trim panel is used.
