Drinking water treatment plants

Black storage tank with integrated pump and control unit for drinking water separation stations from SPECK Pumps, compact design.

Hygienic separation of service water systems and drinking water.

According to the current Drinking Water Ordinance, the public drinking water network must be protected from the consumer’s own pipework – which may be contaminated – connected downstream of it. This applies not only to fire-extinguishing systems, hospitals or farms: network isolation units are also mandatory in private settings, for underground irrigation systems in private gardens, in agriculture, in butcher’s shops, in laboratories, and for the irrigation of sports fields and tennis courts. SPECK’s NTA Comfort, NTA Compact and NTA Premium models are ideally suited for these and other applications.

If the public water supply network becomes contaminated without network isolation units in place, the operator or owner is liable. Good advice can prevent problems and save a considerable amount of money. Practical solutions are provided by the drinking water isolation units in the NTA Comfort, NTA Compact and NTA Premium series from SPECK. These come as standard with hygiene compliance achieved through flushing of the inlet pipe in accordance with VDI 6023, in conjunction with storage tanks with capacities of 240 litres, 350 litres or 700 litres, and safety devices in accordance with DIN EN 1717. Furthermore, all storage tanks in the mains isolation systems are DVGW-certified. For wall hydrant supply systems, the supply line is installed in accordance with DIN 1988 Part 600.

The straightforward connection to the drinking water mains, together with the fully automatic and convenient operation of a pressure-boosting system included in the scope of supply, complete a compact, ready-to-connect and user-friendly drinking water isolation station, which bears the ‘Made in Germany’ seal of quality. Drinking water containing hydrogen peroxide is used to test and disinfect SPECK pressure-boosting systems. The concentration is monitored via a fully automatic dosing system and topped up as required. The quality of the test medium is checked at regular intervals by an external drinking water laboratory.
