The challenge: to provide high-quality, durable and controllable pool technology across the entire resort, capable of reliable continuous operation. Together with its partner Sankurt A.S., SPECK supplied 402 BADU pumps for all the pools, water features and attractions.

A holiday paradise on the Aegean Sea
Bodrum is regarded as the ‘St Tropez of Turkey’ – a holiday paradise on the Aegean coast enjoying increasing popularity with tourists and growing investment in hotel and residential developments. On a 126,000 m² private peninsula in Tilkicik Bay near Yalıkavak, Aksoy Holding has realised one of the most ambitious of these projects.
75 luxury villas, each with its own heated swimming pool, water feature and gardens. The aim was to create timeless luxury for the villa owners – and that begins with technology that operates reliably and with minimal maintenance in the background. That was precisely the challenge: pool technology that delivers consistently high quality across the entire resort.

Implementation
On-site collaboration with Sankurt A.S. and other partners
To ensure the project was implemented to the highest standard, the Turkish swimming pool retailer Sankurt A.S. set up a dedicated branch in Bodrum alongside its headquarters in Istanbul. In collaboration with this partner, SPECK Pompa Turkey supplied a total of 402 BADU pumps.
The technology had to meet a wide range of requirements: 76 swimming pools, 82 water basins, a swimming pond and a children’s water park. Forty-six of the 75 villa pools are infinity pools overlooking the Aegean Sea; the remaining 29 feature skimmers and an 8.5-metre-long, 1.8-metre-high wall cascade. Each of these configurations required a suitable pump solution.

The perfect pump for skimmer pools
All of the resort’s swimming pools, water features and attractions are powered by SPECK pumps. In the villas with skimmer pools, BADU Prime 30 and 25 models, fitted with external frequency converters, ensure that the water flow can be regulated as required. All pools are equipped with a fully automatic filtration system. The pumps are characterised by their ease of maintenance, durability and reliable performance – essential requirements for continuous operation in a resort of this size.
