NordicRAS workshop in Tromsø, Norway – Employee training in the field of aquaculture

This year, SPECK Pumpen already visited one of the most important meeting places for the aquaculture industry – the Aqua Nor in Trondheim, Norway. In addition, SPECK was particularly keen to gain knowledge and understand the latest concepts and developments in fish farming. For this reason, three SPECK employees attended a workshop on Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) in aquaculture. The focus was on saving energy and optimising RAS systems. It is only possible to offer our customers competent advice in the field of aquaculture applications if we have sound and constantly up-to-date knowledge.

Sven Lingansch, Teamleader BADU sales, together with Marco Hubmann and Sebastian Schmidt, both Construction and Development, took part in the NordicRAS workshop in Tromsø to strengthen this competence and expand their expertise in aquaculture systems. NordicRAS is the largest network for recirculation systems in aquaculture.

It was a comprehensive training session that conveyed the latest findings and advances in fish farming and, in particular, presented new RAS technologies. The training also provided an opportunity for professional dialogue with the industry’s leading experts.

A particular highlight of the training session was the tour of the Elvevoll Settefisk RAS system, which is mainly used for rearing young salmon. This provided a detailed insight into the practical operation and optimisation possibilities of such systems.

The knowledge acquired in this workshop now enables professional implementation in day-to-day work and can be shared and expanded with other colleagues. In this way, SPECK guarantees the latest innovations in the field of aquaculture systems based on the most up-to-date knowledge.
