Bull’s eye!

The SPECK apprentices’ team building exercise was was an exciting hit right on the bull’s eye.

Highly motivated and full of enthusiasm for instructed archery.

Right on target.

“Teamwork makes the dream work” – a statement that fits everyday cooperation in every company. Communication and solidarity are important factors in keeping day-to-day business running smoothly. As an employer, SPECK strives to strengthen a collegial and effective working atmosphere with various team building measures. Our apprentices learn this during their training period and go on excursions twice a year, which promotes team spirit and the apprentice community.
However, the pandemic put a stop to the activities in the last two years. The anticipation was all the greater once we were able to get going again! All apprentices, including the newcomers who have been on board since 1 September, enjoyed a day of archery in the fresh air – just like Robin Hood once did.

Together with Stefan Dörr, Head of HR at SPECK, they went to Bow Vision in Alfeld. After a detailed briefing, practice shots were fired as a warm-up. Once everyone felt confident with bow and arrow, a forest parcour was played out in groups, in which 3D animals were set up as targets for an almost realistic scenario. The fun factor was high for all participants and every hit was celebrated together in the groups.

The day ended with a meal in the neighbouring country inn “Zum Schloss” in Poppberg where the apprentices relived the adventure. The cheerful atmosphere and the good conversations proved the positive effect of the excursion on the apprentice community. The apprentices would like to thank SPECK for this exciting event and the opportunity for team building!
