Sand fil­ters must be peri­od­ic­ally back­washed in order to loosen up the sand and to elim­in­ate filtered dirt through the waste sys­tem. This requires, among oth­er things, the hydraul­ic cur­rent of the fil­ter cir­cu­la­tion pump to be reversed through the fil­ter hous­ing.

These func­tions as well as oth­ers can be adjus­ted eas­ily and effort­lessly with the BADU Mat.

Note: The seal is in the upper part of the valve. This makes it easi­er to replace if it becomes worn.
