We would therefore like to make you familiar with the data processing procedures on our website and inform you of our data protection measures as well as what data we actually collect. We are committed to protecting the data of our website visitors. No personal data will be passed to cooperation partners or advertisement companies. We reserve the right to adjust the information provided in this privacy statement to changes in legislation or jurisdiction without prior notification. The current version published here shall be the valid version.

During use of this website, various personal data will be collected and processed according to legal requirements, in particular EU-GDPR.

Legal basis (personal data; Article 4 EU-GDPR)

Personal data is data about your person that makes it possible to identify you. This includes, for example, name, surname, your address and your e-mail address. Data from social media networks such as Facebook, Xing, LinkedIn, Twitter and Google+ may also count as personal information. You can generally visit the SPECK Pumpen Verkaufsgesellschaft GmbH website without us requiring your personal data. However, situations may occur in which we require your name and address as well as further information. We mainly collect personal data with

> Registrations for the individual trader login;
> Contact via e-mail;
> Newsletter subscriptions;
> Contact via the contact form.

Basic principles

By using this website, you agree to us collecting certain data. In return, we undertake to only collect data which is absolutely necessary and to protect your data at all times. We do not collect personal data if you simply visit our website. Thus, you can visit our website without telling us who you are. We are only informed of the name of your internet service provider and the IP address used to access our website, the website you were referred from and the pages you browse on our site. This information will be evaluated for statistical reasons. You, as an individual user, will remain anonymous in this process. If you wish to use a personalised service (e.g. newsletter subscription) you will be asked to provide certain personal data, which is required for the provision of this service.

Collection and processing of non-personal data

Whenever our website is accessed, i.e. whenever a user requests or tries to request a file on this server, data documenting this process is stored in the log file. This is not personal data, i.e. we are not able to ascertain which user has requested which data. Furthermore, we do not make any attempt to collect such information.

The following data is recorded each time our website is accessed:

>       Name of the requested file
>       Date and time of the request
>       Volume of data transferred
>       Name of your internet service provider
>       Your computer’s operating system and browser software, where necessary
>       Website you were referred from.

The above-mentioned data is evaluated solely by ourselves and used for statistical reasons only. The data is used to improve our website for you.

Use and transmission of personal data and earmarking

Any personal data will only be collected when it is provided by the user themselves e.g. during registration for the newsletter or trader account. All of the personal data within this scope is collected, processed and utilised in accordance with the applicable regulations regarding the protection of personal data and only for the purpose of services requested by the user and for the processing of their enquiries. The data will not be processed and used for the purpose of consulting, advertising and market research.

SSL encryption

In order to protect your data during transmission, we use an encryption method corresponding to the latest technology e.g. SSL via HTTPS.

Is the confidentiality of e-mail correspondence/contact forms guaranteed?

Should you wish to contact us via your own e-mail account, we draw your attention to the fact that, under certain circumstances, the confidentiality of the information sent in this way cannot be guaranteed.

If the data is collected and processed via our contact form, this data will be encrypted before it is transmitted. We recommend that you only send us confidential information via the post.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Should the IP anonymisation be activated, Google will truncate/anonymise the last octet of the IP address for Member States of the European Union as well as for other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to and shortened by Google servers in the USA. On behalf of the website provider Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website provider. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. However, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. Furthermore you can prevent Google’s collection and use of data (cookies and IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en-GB.

In view of the discussion on the use of analytical tools with complete IP addresses, we would like to point out that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp()" so that IP addresses are only processed further in abbreviated form to prevent them being directly linked to a particular individual.

Further information regarding Google Analytics (safeguarding your data): https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en

Google Maps

This website uses the Google Maps service via an API. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

When you use Google Maps, the information that you are using the web page, including your IP address, is sent to a Google server in the US, where it is stored. If necessary, Google will transfer information obtained via Maps to a third party if required by law or should a third party be authorized by Google to process this data. Google will never associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

You will find the Google privacy policy & terms and conditions for Google Maps under https://policies.google.com/privacy/

The use of script libraries (Google Webfonts)

In order to display our content correctly and graphically appealingly across all browsers, we use script and font libraries on this website, for example Google Webfonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/). Google Webfonts are assigned in order to avoid multiple loading in your browser’s cache. Should the browser not support Google Webfonts or prevent access, the content will be displayed in a standard font.

When the script or font libraries are retrieved, a connection to the operator of the library is automatically triggered. In this case, it is possible that the operator of the library will collect data, however it is currently unclear whether and to what purpose this may occur.

You will find the library operator Google’s privacy policy here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Facebook

Our sites integrate plugins from the social media network Facebook. The provider is Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA. You can recognise the Facebook plugins by the Facebook logo or the “like” button on our page.

You will find an overview of the Facebook plugins here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/?locale=en_US

When you visit our pages, the plug-in establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. Facebook thereby receives the information that you have visited our site from your IP address. If you click the Facebook “like” button while you are logged into your Facebook account, you can link the contents of our pages to your Facebook profile. In this way, Facebook can attribute the visit on our pages to your user account. Please note that we, as the provider of the pages, do not receive any notice of the content of transmitted data, nor of their use by Facebook. You can find more information about this in Facebook’s data privacy statement at https://www.facebook.com/policy.php

If you do not wish for Facebook to attribute the visit to your Facebook account, please log out of your Facebook account.

The reason for and scope of the data acquisition and information about the way in which the data is processed and used by Facebook, as well as your rights in this respect and settings options for protecting your privacy can be found in Facebook’s privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy

In addition, external tools are available for all commonplace browsers, which enable the blocking of Facebook social plugins using Add-ons.

Xing

Our website uses the network XING. The provider is XING AG, Dammtorstraße 29-32, 20354 Hamburg, Germany. Each time one of our pages containing functions from XING is accessed, a connection to the XING server is established. However, XING does not store any personal data. Furthermore XING does not store IP addresses nor does it monitor user behavior.

Further information regarding data protection and the XING share button can be found in XING’s privacy policy: https://www.xing.com/app/share?op=data_protection

Twitter

Our pages integrate functions of the Twitter service. These functions are offered by Twitter Inc., Twitter, Inc. 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. By using Twitter and the function “Re-Tweet” the websites visited by you are linked with your Twitter account and are made known to other users. In the process, data is also transferred to Twitter. Please note that we, as the provider of the pages, receive no information as to the content of the data transferred or as to the use made of it by Twitter. Further information relating to this topic can be found in the data-protection statement made by Twitter under http://twitter.com/privacy

You can change your data-protection settings on Twitter in the account settings under http://twitter.com/account/settings.

YouTube

Our website uses plugins from YouTube, which is operated by Google. The provider is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.

When you visit one of our sites which is equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube server is established. The YouTube server is thus informed about which specific pages of our website you have visited.

If you are already logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to connect your browsing habits directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this connection by logging out of your YouTube user account as well as other user accounts belonging to YouTube LLC and Google Inc. and deleting the cookies belonging to these companies before visiting our website.

Further information regarding the handling of user data can be found in YouTube’s privacy policy: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.

Newsletter

We use the so-called double opt in process for the distribution of our newsletter. This means that we will only send you a newsletter via e-mail when you have explicitly confirmed that we should activate the newsletter service for you by clicking the link sent in the e-mail confirmation. When you sign up to our newsletter we save your IP address and the date of the registration. This serves as evidence for all parties should a third party misuse your e-mail address in order to sign you up for the newsletter without your knowledge or authorisation. Should you no longer wish to receive our newsletter, you can unsubscribe and therefore refuse future newsletters.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies.

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer’s hard drive by websites that you visit. The use of cookies does not damage your device, nor do the cookies contain viruses, Trojans or other malware. The information received through cookies is used to automatically recognise you the next time you visit our website and to make navigation easier for you. Of course it is possible to view our website without accepting cookies. It is possible to configure the browser so that no cookies are saved to your PC. However, if the cookies are completely deactivated, not all functions on our website can be used.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit.

The legal basis for the processing of personal data using cookies is Article 6, Paragraph 1 letter f EU-GDPR.

Rights of the data subject

The user has the right to receive, upon request and free of charge, information regarding the personal data stored (Article 15 EU-GDPR). Moreover, the user can request the data be corrected (Article 16 EU-GDPR) or deleted (Article 17 EU-GDPR). Please contact us should you wish to learn which personal data we have saved about you or should you wish your data to be deleted or corrected.

In addition, according to legal regulations, users have the right to limit the processing (Article 18 EU-GDPR), the right to object to the processing (Article 21 EU-GDPR), the right of revocation (Article 7 EU-GDPR), the right to data portability (Article 20 EU-GDPR) as well as the right to appeal at the relevant supervisory authority (Article 57 EU-GDPR). In such cases, please contact us directly.

Legal basis for processing

Article 6 I letter a EU-GDPR is the legal basis for processing where we require your consent for a specific processing purpose. If the processing of personal data is required for the fulfilment of a contract, the contracting party being the person in question, as is the case in processing operations for which delivery of goods or provision of a particular service is necessary, the processing is based on Article 6 I letter b EU-GDPR. The same applies for processing operations that are required for the execution of pre-contractual measures for example for enquiries regarding our products or services. If our company is subject to a legal obligation, which requires the processing of personal data, for example to fulfil tax obligations, the processing is based on Article 6 I letter c EU-GDPR.

Finally, processing operations may be based on Article 6 I letter f EU-GDPR. Processing operations not covered by one of the above legal bases are based on this legal basis if the processing is required in order to protect a legitimate interest of our company or a third party, provided that the interests and basic rights and freedoms of the person in question do not prevail. Such processing operations are permitted, as they are specifically mentioned by the European legislators. They took the view that a legitimate interest can be assumed, if the person in question is a customer of those responsible (Recital 47 Paragraph 2 EU-GDPR).
